Nyepi – The Day of Silence

Today, March 31st is celebrated as a national holiday in Indonesia as we called it Hari Raya Nyepi or the Day of Silence. It is a Hindu celebration mainly celebrated in the paradise island – BALI. The day following Nyepi is the Balinese New Year. Well, can you imagine a whole island doing nothing, people only do meditation and fasting at their homes during the whole day. fyi, the only international airport also closed for today.
